Kicker

In 1973, KICKER’s journey began as a modest two-man operation in a cramped one-car garage, where founder and current president Stever Irby, driven by a deep passion for music and limited resources, pioneered the mobile-stereo enclosure market from its community in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Irby’s innovation, the original KICKER, was the first speaker box designed specifically for cars and trucks delivering full frequency range and concert-like audio quality with exceptional bass and precise sound.

KICKER introduced a line of single subwoofers called “Separates” to complement their subwoofer-loaded enclosures. The Competition Series Separates quickly became a favorite among enthusiasts looking to custom-build their own bass systems. To this day, KICKER continues to receive stores from customers who remember their early experiences with KICKER Comp Subs, which set the standard for bass performance in vehicles.
